Privately Funded Road Traffic Matters
These fees apply to summary only motoring offences under Part I of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and s89 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Our fees are fixed. This means that we will agree a fee at the beginning of your case when we know what work it entails. We cannot then ask for additional funding for work we do. We will speak to you about your particular case and agree a fee before we begin work, but in the majority of cases the fees (exclusive of VAT) will be:
Trials:
£1500
Please note that if expert reports are required (we will always consult with you about this) you will be responsible for paying the cost as a disbursement in addition to our fees. You will be required to pay this disbursement before we instruct the expert to produce the report.
Guilty Pleas:
Speeding/document offences/excess alcohol or drugs: £400
Exceptional Hardship (where you might be disqualified due to ‘totting’): £600
Special Reasons (to avoid or reduce a ban for drink or drug driving): £600
Please note that these fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added to your total.
Fees are payable in advance of our beginning work on your case, unless we have confirmed in writing that we are willing to commence without full payment.
